I’m the last one in work, big old scary building I got down to the bottom of the stairs and one of the volunteers was still here waiting for a lift and said ‘hello’ as I got the bottom of the stairs, my heart is still pounding!!

OK that’s pretty lame but things jumping out and going boo scares me (also Binners in his 1st week of stopping smoking) what scares you?

Needles. Can’t bear them. Thing is, it’s not the idea that they might hurt that’s the problem – I don’t even know what it is. They just make me turn pale, shaky and terrified.

I’m the same with needles, I start to feel clammy and light headed.

Having said that, it’s only with needles I know are going to be used on me; it’s not seeing needles in general. 😀

I had needle phobia until my daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Having to give 4 injections a day soon makes you MTFU.

I can’t watch anyone else handle the needles though.

I once had the extremely unfortunate experience of seeing the naked buttocks of a middle-aged mountain biker, in a car park, as he changed into other clothes.

Oooh it were ‘orrible; flabby, saggy and with a pastiness that suggeted it had never seen the sun. 😥

What has bin seen, cannot be unseen. Still gives me the horrors, even now. Scarred for life. 🙁

Marzipan. Every bloody cake in my childhood had bloody bastard marzipan on. Every single one. Even bloody bakewell bloody tart.
It left me with a hatred of cakes, and a deep and abiding fear of both marzipan and bakers.

not actually kill, just cut your arms and legs off, or maybe your head, in a way that doesn’t actually kill you but leaves you in a glass jar on display in a carnival freakshow for all eternity.

This one isn’t really fear but standing drinking at the bar for too long, then getting to the toilet a bit later than I should have to find out that the button-up boxer shorts are on inside out, and as i don’t normally wear button ones, I’d struggle with them if they were the on the right way.

On a serious note – confined spaces. Not lifts or stuff like that, but watching people caving – squeezing into damp spaces they can only barely get through – that gives me the proper heebie jeebies.
