    Spec,

Weight – No more than 3.5lbs,
Geometry – 100/80mm fork corrected, XC/XC race style,
    Brakes – Disc,
    Size – 18"ish
Material – for the weight it'll have to be CFRP or Ti.
    Wheels – 26"
Cost – Not for me, so irrelevant.

    So far my list is:

    Ibis Tranny
    Van Nic Zion
    Voodoo Djab (sort of)

    Can you add to it?

Scandal, the 18" is bang on your desired weight of 3.5lbs.. And will probably be the cheapest option for whoever is paying.

How about a custom build from any of the big boys out there.

I had a Voodoo Aizan. Scandium rame weighed 1300g in 17"
Lovelly frame, but it was 29er – not sure if your after that?

Also a few Salsa frames, the Juan solo (no longer available new) and Selma (29er).

    The MacMahone frames seem…interesting…

…though I'm not sure I can trust someone who can't spell and punctuate on their own website!

Besides which, "French/Taiwanese" with a seemingly Scottish name?!
