Ratio 4.27 to 1
Bike 14.3 Kg
Me 61 Kg
Ratio 4.27 to 1
Ooh, this is a game I should do well at.
Me: 80kg
FS: 9.75kg
Roadie 6.6kg
That puts me in the FS and overall lead at 8.2 and 12.1 I think
well maybe it's like this, taking clubber going from his SS to his FS
Bike + Rider increase by 2% - the difference in the work done
Rider:Bike ratio reduces by 14% - the difference in how the bike feels under you
Bike weight increases by 22% - the difference you feel when you lift the bike
Me: 58-60kg
Bike: 10kg
Also the higher the ratio, the higher your CofG is?
8.07:1
me 300lbs
bike 32lbs
what is that ratio.
Me: 74Kg
Commuter: 15Kg = 4.93
Mtb: About 11Kg = 6.72
Road bike: About 8Kg = 9.25
The ratio between the two is pretty much irrelevant. The total weight you have to haul around isn't.
Me 80kg
Bike (trail setup) 11.5kg
Bike (XC race setup) 11.0kg
Ratio 6.96-7.30:1
9.75kg FS! - is it 'warrantied' for off-road use?
pretty much 4:1
also slow
Dear god, 4:1!
Me 9st12
FS bike 20.6Lbs
6.699:1
Is 4:1 right? Small skinny guy on huge DH bike?
will someone tell me my ratio please and if it is good or bad.
29lb (dripping wet with proper tires and pedals)
191lb (naked)
6.5:1
In its more sedentary guise with spd's and normal tires its 27lb giving 5.16:1
I'm a 9 stone woman on a 'do-it-all' dirt jump bike (wait til I get a proper DH bike!) it's a wonder I don't just give up now
ton, youre looking at about 10:1 there matey, meaning you're a LOT heavier than your bike, as am I. Not good or bad, you might have a light bike or a heavy body like me

fair point, I was just wondering how damned heavy your bike was! But ~31 isnt too heavy.
you think? it's heavy enough for me!

I think ton is winning with the highest proportion of bodyweight to proper (ie MTB with gears) bike at the moment.
What's with this metric business?
Me, fat 42 yr old on my lush HT:
= 210 : 22 (pounds)
= 9.55 : 1
...need to lose my pounds pre-Maaaaaayhem!!!!
Thinking I might just win this one..
4.5:1
Me: just under 55kg
Bike: around 12kg
No wait, just saw miaowing_kats. Could still win the male category. Assuming the lower the ratio the better of course.
Well, if it's a competition, I shall use my other bike
Me 9st12
'DH' bike 34Lbs (old 5" coil sprung Marin, RSt Hi5's etc. Proper retro)
4.095:1
Could still win the male category
Ah dam. How about we do a total weight thread..? Might have a better chance at that..
Me in kit 80kg
Bike 12kg
ratio 6.66
Tony, yours is 9.375:1
which is quite impressive.
ie twice what mine is
and I don't know if it's a good thing or bad.
either way you win
Pretty sure this has been done before... Nonetheless,
3.48:1
Eat that*, STW fatties!
*not literally, put down the fork!
3.48:1? How heavy must your bike be?
May have skewed the results somewhat by using this

Would have been (marginally) different if I'd used the HT.
That's a beast. Looks nice. First time I think I've ever wished I had a heavier bike..
Me - 80kg
Bike - 18.1kg
Ratio : 4.41
4.8-5:1
61kg - 63kg - me
12.6kg - bike (I think...)
Me in Kit: 98 kilos
Bike: 11 kilos
Ratio: 8.9:1
Feel like a right fat knacker now
65kg me, bike 18.2 kg= 3.57:1
Can be hard work!
