    i got a 2010 spesh hardrock disk.

the tyres on it are 26×2.0 and they are just not grippy enough for my steeper and rough/muddy terrain.

i been looking about and found some continental vertical 26×2.3 cheap cheap.

now whats the maximum tyre size i can go for?

i am after a good tyre too are the conti verts a good tyre?

A 2.3 Conti Verts don't come up that big, more like a 2.1.

I use them and like them only on the front mind.

Sounds like you need mud tyres

spesh 2.0's will often be big too so you might find the 2.0 spesh bigger than the 2.3 conti.

I'll be slaughtered for saying this but I've always liked Tioga XC tyres.

enduros are an old tyre now- not sure how available they are anymore, superceeded by the eskar and purgartory. if you want grip on soft mud and grass go for a mud tyre 1.8 or 2.0 (trailraker/mud x/etc) big day out tyre purgatory blows up big and is a good all rounder

ah tioga its like riding on constant ice isn;t it?

some of the maxxis tyres are nice. Ignitor rides well and advantage is grippy.
