I’m curious at what folks on here carry in their backpacks. I carry:

    Spare Tube
    Tyre boot
    One Gear cable (inner)
    Some SRAM powerlinks
    Alien Multi-tool
    Mini-torch

As you can see its only partially thought out.

Pump, tube, levers, multitool, power links and park patches, oh and water – only really take a back pack during the winter\spring for somewhere to put teh jacket or top…. otherwise it’s pump and bottle on frame, the rest in a small saddle bag

    3 tyre Levers
    Sram power links
    multi tool
    cable ties

    pump
    water bladder
    wallet
    phone
    keys

I try and take the minimum and sometimes take nothing (depending on where I ride), if I do take something it will contain:

    Multitool
    Spare tube
    Patches
    Pump
    Tyre lever
    Snickers bar
    Water (in bladder)

On long rides I may have additional snacks and in winter an extra layer

    Always in the pack:
    -Multitool (Topeak Mini20)
    -Cleat bolt
    -Spare hanger
    -Powerlink
    -Patch kit
    -UST valve
    -Zipties
    -Tire lever
    -Pump (Pro)
    -Shock pump (Topeak Microshock)
    -Very small first aid kit
-Couple of tissues in plastic bag

+ water and some snacks and extra clothing if needed. I have tried to minimize the contents but still be prepared for most common issues. It is not often about the dangers riding but being able to finish the ride – especially in cases where I’m not riding near home.
