Just out of curiosity, what could you you possibly want a 44t ring for on a 1×9 set up that still needs a chain device?

    I was wondering that.

You must ride REALLY fast down hill!

oh yeah this is for my comuter!

ive been lazy and left the front mech and shifter on up till now

my only gripe with the dmr one is that its costlier than a front mech, but has no moving parts!

You need a chan guide on your commuter?

Might be better to sort your chainline out. Unless you have a particularly bumpy commute.

I had a 1×9 commuter and without a chain device but with a unramped chain ring I had no issues with the chain dropping off. Mrs TJ still runs a 1×9 commuter and has no issues but hers does have a bash ring

Try it with an unramped chainring

i bet there is a bit of filing to be had on the mrp one – the e1 does up to 42t i think

my comute is pretty flat but this bike would be wasted if it cant handle any learyness(tm) i can find
