You’re clearly not getting the right coverage. Have you tried asking your riding buddies for a reacharound?

    Petroleum rub?

If the nozzle was a bit loose in the hole then you might actually need diesel rub instead.

Although if you’re contaminated with petrol then you’ll have to pay a man to come and pump it out.

If he can’t treat you with respect then maybe you should think about getting a man who can?

    Inter-cheek arse lard.

Used it a few times when I know I’ll be on my feet all day in hot weather, just in case. Worth it.

I prefer Roger’s Profanisaurus myself. A recent entry had me in fits and is somewhat relevant to the ‘lucky chap’ thread.

I’ll leave you to google it, as i’m sure posting the definition would get me banned.

All depends if it has become infected with a fungal or bacterial visitor.

If not – Metanium is an excellent barrier cream
If fungal something like Fucadin or Canesten
If bacterial a cream with tea tree oil can work wonders

you’ve got a kid, surely you’ve got some sudocrem or metanium or even some cortisone cream… which you’re not supposed to use down there but what’s the worst that can happen?

I was always recommended methylated spirits for blisters and such like when I used to do walking.

Try some of that and report back.

Bit of honey and some natural yoghurt. Mix together and apply liberally with a spatula. It’s what the Romans used to do. That or sacrifice some Christians get a mudguard.

Metanium is an excellent barrier cream

On the kids, we found Metanium was too strong for regular use. Works a treat at healing nasty sores, but as soon as they were healed, use Bepanthon or Sudocrem as a barrier.

metanium should be the cyclist’s choice given that it contains titanium.

    given that it contains titanium

    ideal for cracks then.

    Poor Hora. 🙁

Experienced this a few years ago, tried various creams and eventually had no choice but go to GP for prescription.

Took around 6 months to clear, I kid you not, so the moral of the story is ALWAYS wear waterproof shorts in inclement weather.

    +1 for mudguard

Alternatively, if you just can’t get properly dry down there maybe some hair removal cream would do the trick. 🙂

I hear ‘veet for men’ is just the jobby, according to the reviews

    Sudocrem.

Literally ‘packed’ in pre-ride. Then applied in subsequent days if necessary.

Or if you can still get it Mycil athletes foot powder works wonders and is slightly less aggressive/whiffy than Daktacort
