No snow on it, if that's what you mean?
Went over both ways on Thurs. Very loose coming up from Seathwaite, but very good up from the Coniston side. Any soft ground is fairly well frozen above 200m'sPosted 1 year ago # -
The Dunnerdale side is rideable as a climb, if you have the puff, though near the bottom there are some challenging rocky sections. As a downhill it's a bit poo, though I've only ever once ridden down the section below the wall as it's so much better heading for Natty Bridge and Stephenson Gnd. The Coniston side is an excellent downhill but there's very little chance of riding up it

thanks guys, yeah I mean in terms of the conditions - ie ice/snow etc. I've ridden it before - awesome descent down the coniston side...cheers can't wait to give it a spin again

you expect anyone on this planet to know what it'll be like a whole week ahead ? I can confidently say it probably won't have been riven by an earhquake before then, otherwise, all bets are off.

cheers, was cream-crackered by the time we got there. Just need to learn to trust the bike on the downhill bits along with having faith in my arm holding out.
Did 32kms yesterday and can feel every one of em now.Posted 1 year ago # -

You managed to stop on Parkamoor, only done it once but there was no way i was stopping.. Or were you climbing?
One of my favourite descents so far!

This was just about at the top of the climb. After this point it was all downhill!

Aye stop at the top and get ready to descend, sweet descent.

was ok'ish on the first descent down to the farm house. the short uphill then descent after that caught me out, right arm was goosed after that.
Nearly had the front end "tuck" on me twice which was fun on that last descent to the road.Posted 1 year ago #
