All,

I’m looking to put a wall mounted stand in my garage, however as space is limited I was trying to find one that released and swung flat against the wall so you could just flick it out when you needed it. That Park ones both seem (?) to be fixed sticking straight out all the time. Anyone know if such a thing exists ?

The clamp on the Park (PRS-4W) slides out to leave just the wall mount, which sticks out 14cm.

Hmmm that’s what I thought, would be nice if it was hinged instead of pull out.

(for the PRS-4W) Even if you weld the mounting plate to a hinge, the whole thing is still going to stick out by 10cm because of the depth of the clamp.

Does no one in NZ do the same thing in a different brand? Is it expensive because of import duties and taxes? Royal Mail say £28 for a “Small Package” by AirSure

Nah not that I can find unfortunately. Will have a deeper hunt via LBS. Yeah the delivery looks insane – its probably not that heavy and we post stuff backwards and forwards all the time. Barstewards.

A few years ago I had one of these set up, not a sturdy as a full workstand but fine for general tinkering duties. It does get in the way of under the top tube cable routing and is tricky with some suspension designs but it did the job for me until I worked up an alternative;

halfords did one similar that folded too. It’s only difficult if you take a wheel out and kick out the centre of balance
