[Off for a twangy afternoon now ta. ]
if you mean that you're going to play some songs written by the twang, you have lost any man points gained by having acquired a cool guitar.

Different twang altogether

I'd love to join in the celebrations but have no idea what you are jibbering on about!
Posted 2 years ago # -
Oh, I see. You've got a new/old guitar. Why didn't you just say so?
Posted 2 years ago # -

This one here, and bloody lovely it plays too

Oooh, suits you, sir! Mint. My 8yr old's taking drum lessons and brilliant. Bare him in mind!
Posted 2 years ago # -
I've got a six year old who wants a drum-kit for christmas, cant see his mum being that keen but hey ho

Encourage talent. My lad got one when he was 6, go with it, play to their strengths, you can always sell on ebay. It's great, better than violin!
Posted 2 years ago # -
tbf teagirl, pretty much anything's better than the violin

Nice piece of American Oak there

Oak? Swamp Ash surely...
Nice guitar! I'm of a rosewood neck fan m'self, but that's pretty sweet looking. Hmm, I don't have a Thinline in my collection. Perhaps I should do something about that...Posted 2 years ago # -
yup, it is swamp ash actually, try a thinline, you wont regret it, bloody lovely they are, fender are doing some 1972(with fender humbuckers) model squire ones at the mo which are pretty damn good for the money, that one is a Corona made one for the Japanese market in 2005. they are hard to find.... but terrific guitars.

Nice. I've just got a (non-Fender) relic Strat coming, so might have to hold off on a Tele for, er, a week or so...
Posted 2 years ago # -
I do like the relic strats a lot, nowt worse than being sat there waiting for a guitar you've ordered waiting for it though
....I got a relic custom shop Tele last year and bloody love it,well worth the wait

It's got a big hole in it. Clear as day in that photo, surprised you didn't see it. I would send it back
Posted 2 years ago # -
you wanna get yerself a banjo - now thats an instrument and if I can learn they must be easy.
Posted 2 years ago # -
oddly enough, I've already got one, I've got a flat full of stringed instruments of one kind or another. can't move for the bloody things.:)

my thinline, shoddy pic from ages ago though
Posted 2 years ago # -
oooooh, nice....I like that lots:)
have a bit of a thing for teles at the best of times.........and I like that bound body.
Posted 2 years ago # -
i'll get a better pic sunday night when i get home
Posted 2 years ago # -
excellent, looks really nice though even in that, well done chap...
Posted 2 years ago # -
Hey we had that fire in our old flat!
Posted 2 years ago # -
did it leak gas like that one?

Posted 2 years ago # -
It did rocketdog - have you bought my old flat???????????????????
Posted 2 years ago # -
Nice tele - and I do like a bit of binding. I bought a Japanese '62 Tele in black with double binding - very sweet. Though it seems that everyone and his dog is playing Teles at the moment, so I'm favouring the Strats (or going off the wall with Arias and stuff).
Recently I have mostly been trying to get the hang of fretless bass though... eek!

"Though it seems that everyone and his dog is playing Teles at the moment"
Cos they're 'kin ace and it's taken everybody else years to realise it, it has driven the price of them up unfortunately
