I know it's a running joke here, but who does it. Consider this an AA meeting (aligners anonymous), it's ok to share.

Valves/tyre logos. Do you align?

No. But then again, I don't really ride my mountain bike anymore.
Posted 1 year ago # -
No, with dual ply tyres I'm just happy to get the bloody things on rather than worry about how it looks.

Only since being signed up to STW.

A rather crap excuse but I find if I line the logos up I can quickly spot where the valve is when changing a flat
Posted 1 year ago # -
Always.
Reason for doing this proved the other day. Out riding with some mates, one punctured. He removed tube and gave it to the other one, who found the hole and said it's about a quarter of the way round from the valve. Of by this time the tyre had been removed from the rim and we had no idea where a quarter turn was. If had lined them up properly...[EDIT] See Nuke above.

I'm sure the aligners here will balk at the knowledge that I not only don't align, but I also have different types of valve in each wheel! Presta up front, Schrader in the back
(This is based on the available tube last time I had a puncture)

I don't care about the valves, I line the tyre logos up with the rim logos. I've been doing this for 20 years and it has bugger all to do with STW!
Posted 1 year ago # -
Aye, and hub logos are visible through the valve hole as well.
Posted 1 year ago # -
I don't, never have. Now ride tubeless so even less reason to do it
Posted 1 year ago # -
Nope.
Posted 1 year ago # -
NO.
Posted 1 year ago # -
Yes, partly for the puncture-finding thing and partly because I'm a bit anal.
Posted 1 year ago # -
I align the logo on the rim with the logo on the tyre, or put them at 180'...

Always align valve with tyre logo and as someone else said the logo on the hub is in line with the valve hole.
Also before embarking on any ride always set off with both front and rear valves at top dead center!

Yes and proud
Posted 1 year ago # -
Yes, always, why not?

Always align valve with tyre logo and as someone else said the logo on the hub is in line with the valve hole.
Also before embarking on any ride always set off with both front and rear valves at top dead center! Then it's time to go home

No. With tubeless there's no practical reason for it so doing it would be obscenely anal
Posted 1 year ago # -
My tyres are pretty dirty,so you can't see the logos anyway...
Posted 1 year ago # -
what do you do when the logo is in a different place on either side of the tyre ?
p.s. getting pretty fed up of the auto americanised spelling checker
Posted 1 year ago # -
Yes I do ........... Oh the shame
Posted 1 year ago # -
Yes! Makes the bike look better, imo...
