i was looking to upgrade some forks on a specialized p1 all mountain bike, but i was wondering can you put 120mm travel forks on a bike which comes with 100mm travel forks?

I contacted specialized when I wanted to put longer forks on my rockhopper, they told me 10% more travel would be fine so that would be 110mm of travel. But they may have been covering themselves as it was a new bike.

P all mountain comes with 130s…..

i reckon you should be fine though.
alu frames like that are plenty strong enough, the only issue is messing up the handling…
