where do you get your tubes from for your 29ers?

Halfords don't do them nor do most bike shops.

I got my last lot from eBay but they were labeled as 28". They struggled to fill the tyre wall. My tyres are 2.3' I think…

Always get Bonty ones from Chevin Cycles in Leeds, they do mail order and are ace. They also have a great range of 29er tyres.

Bought some spesh ones but found them a bit thin and prone to exploding !!!

Use a 26" tyre and just stretch it a bit before fitting. 2 years like that and not one problem.

    Bigsi,

Were your Spesh tyres The Captains? My mate at mayhem had his blow up on him as well (twice!). Makes me a bit nervous as it's what i run on the hardtail.

As for tubes, i get Bonty ones from my LBS, 3 for a tenner.

I thought 29" tubes were always marked 28", due to the baffling way that tires are measured.

    i.e. 29" = 700c = 622ETRTO

Someone who knows what they're talking about will be along soon enough I'm sure.
