Now that the slicky mud has turned up, my Nobby Nics are the far side of useless (cue over the handlebars dirt eating as a result of severe wheel slippage).

Does anyone have any recommendations for stans tubeless ready tyres that are easy to put on as Nobbys?

tbh I’d classify the NN as a mud(ish) tyre, drop the pressures?

Mud X comes in tubeless ready… Wouldn’t put one on the front again but a great proper-mud rear tyre.

    Mud X or Dirty Dan.

Nics are shite in the mud IMO.

At the risk of sounding boring, Mud X are great [ghetto] tubeless.

Maxxis Medusa in LUST. Really good winter tyre which don’t roll like tractor tyres.

i think im gonna try a maxxis advantage front rear combo for a while in winter – im just about losing traction with my crossmarks now up the peak…..

peak doesnt have the most muddy bits to be honest, no massive hard slogs in grassy mud etc, so im gonna try my luck with some all round advantages

I put some Storm controls on my HT last night after getting a set for £36. Very muddy out there, but it was noticeable how much more grip I had than my mate with his NN on still. They are 2bliss tubeless ready and look very similar to my MudXs on my FS, which are tubeless.

Great tyres (both Storms and Mudx)
