Is there any difference other than weight. I’m looking for something with a bit more grip than my mud x for the front. I was quite happy with the mud x when I was running suspension forks but I’ve really noticed a loss of front end grip since going rigid on the winter commuter. My route combines some sticky mud sections and areas of bare wet chalk which are the real challenge.
    thanks

There can sometimes be a difference in rubber if the wire bead is cheap oem stuff. Panaracer site have anything on it? I’d risk it for a commuter.

The Panaracer site doesn’t even seem to list them at all! It may only be a commute but it’s put me on the floor twice this winter when the front wheel has gone on the wet chalk.

IME the trailraker doesn’t give the grip of the mudx in the turns so I put a mudx front and a trailraker out back.

Perhaps try committing more Of your weight to the front rather than looking for a technical solution?
    Or dropping/increasing the pressures?
Or moving to a skinnier/fatter tyre?
