Having broken the plastic bushing on yet another seat post (On-One CNC QR Seatclamp) I was looking for a replacement and was suddenly struck be inspiration.

A quick trip to the local plumbers merchant where I purchased their cheapest brass pipe fitting (20p) and I was able to make a new bushing by drilling a hole through the fitting, sawing through the opposite side with and then carefully flattening it out.

I’m still at a loss as to why manufactures use plastic bushings as they do seem to be useless.

Hope use brass ones and they are crap.
