So it's the big one I'm looking for a titanium frame which will be used in endurance racing. AS LIGHT AS POSSIBLE! what are your thoughts?

I ride an Airborne for enduros / 24 hr races etc. No longer available as Airborne, but van Nicholas in the Netherlands still do frames to the same / similar geometry / spec.
The only time I wish for a softer back end is flat ground over choppy grass - not enough gradient to stand up, and after a long day, too rough to comfortbaly sit down

Altitude ti has been doing well in enduro racing over the last year, 3.3lbs in a 17.5" and better on uk trails than some other 'race' style ti bikes. goes well with 100mm forks.

the head tube on that singular looks insanely steep. might just be the angle of the photo though.

After a lot of faffing about I got a Van Knickerless Tuareg,building it up now.
I looked at the Voodoo D-jab first ( sold out ),then Cove ( over my budget ). I have had a Ti frame before and liked the ride more than how light it was.
Try and get a few test rides before you choose ( if you can).Posted 2 years ago # -

Price will be £1500ish depending on options. A pound per gram - that's reasonable isn't it?
Geometry is slightly modified Swift - lower front end. Just got back from a shakedown spin on mine (frame arrived at 3pm, riding by 5pm 
) very very promising. Pictures tomorrow...

Litsespeed Obed? I dunno really I dont think there is an awful lot of difference between the good makes. Maybe try Moots or Lynskey as well? What ever you choose someone somewhere (probably on here) will chastise for your choice!

Go custom, getting the fit nailed is worth it for endurance races. Check the usual suspects = IF, eriksen, Seven, Black sheep etc.
Dont buy cheap Asian made Ti. Buy cheap, buy twice....

I'm lucky enough to have a Litespeed Ocoee, although I think they've just dropped it from the range as it isn't on the website any more. Mine is a custom xl size and still only weighs 3.5lbs. They're a lot less springy than some ti bikes and get the power down astonishingly well, but still have ti comfort and feel. I got mine second hand from a pro racer, and would not have been able to stump up the £2k+ for a new one, but would seriously recommend it if you've got the cash. Doesn't look like LS are replacing it with a hardtail of the same high spec, but several retailers still have them.

i feel i must speak up here.
I've got an Enigma Ego which is brilliant.
If you have a frame custom built, they are put together down in surrey and the options are endless.
my stock frame was £1130.
great riding for all but the roughtest of stuff and weighs circa 1500 grams

looks bluddy luvvly sam!
every now and then i see a bike that makes me consider selling my moots and trying something different, and thats one of them.
but i know my poor old aching back would never forgive me if i got rid of that moots 'squidge' at the back
