zippy tbh I think the Murdochs have more power than the govt, so it is plausible that Mulcaires days are numbered, he has kept quiet so far, I guess the promise of something has kept him quiet..

Are you actually serious about him ending up sleeping with the fishes ?

Yep, the "something" is called money......Murdoch has plenty of it.

.. I would have questioned that (family power), but seemingly the police aren't as financially independant, as I had hoped these days.

It would not surprise me in the slightest.

When he does reveal who asked him to hack the phones, what's to say he tells the truth? As said money can buy all sorts of things including a scapegoat to take the blame!

It would not surprise me in the slightest.
Presumably a contract killing in which the police are involved as part of the cover-up ?
Seriously mate, people need to abandon the search for conspiracy theories. The only conspiracy anyone need worry about, is the one which involves the Bullingdon Boys elite shafting working people.

Naff off Ernie, it isn't a conspiracy theory, it's an observation. I'm not interested in your own little freak bubble so go and piss on someone elses chips.

You need to calm down mate.

You're right, this is going to be interesting.

Perhaps posting a thread on t'internet ain't the way to go if you're not receptive to comments.

This is a public forum where people can choose personally whether to contribute and it is not up to the OP
When they do, often, they choose not to agree with the OP
Confusingly I agree with your opening post and not your response to ernie...now i dont know if I can say that or not

I can understand your frustration at perhaps not receiving the precise response which you might have expected, but check this out to help develop a more relaxed attitude to conflicting opinions :
fo·rum (fôrm, fr-)
n. pl. fo·rums also fo·ra (fôr, fr)
1.
a. The public square or marketplace of an ancient Roman city that was the assembly place for judicial activity and public business.
b. A public meeting place for open discussion.
c. A medium for open discussion or voicing of ideas, such as a newspaper, a radio or television program, or a website.
2. A public meeting or presentation involving a discussion usually among experts and often including audience participation.
3. A court of law; a tribunal. You'll note "place for open discussion" and "voicing of ideas".
We can all get a tad irritated when people don't always agree with us. But I find that camomile tea and cutting down on caffeine helps

No surprise to see the "wind 'em up then tell them they need to calm down" routine though.

Ah-ha...
Are you serious, or is this just The Edinburgh Defence? I mean, otherwise you'd be in conflict with the forum rules would you not?

Indeed people can say what they want and I can still tell people to do one if I want. I'm not wound up, my words were all calmly considered, I'm just not interesting in standing for any of ernie's crap. I am receptive to comments and open to ideas, niether of which erni offers in my experience so I prefer avoid him or threads he is on. He is a forum tool. Now some of you may feel the same about me, fine you can do one too if you like.

I think WOPR's conclusion on how to win Tic-Tac-Toe is applicable here.
