The dial numbers read up to 1.5 in two directions. How do you set it to say, 4nm? I don't understand the scale of numbers on the dial.
Not got the specific one you're on about but usually the shaft will be demarcated in increments of 2, so 4 would be 4 on the shaft and zero on the dial, 5 would be be four on the shaft and screw 1.5 forward (or six on the shaft and 0.5 back)
I have the Superstar one. Every 1Nm clockwise on the round base knob increases the torque setting, as shown in the upper window, by 1Nm, so it will be 4 of these to get it to 4Nm
Ah, gotcha. Even on the weakest setting, there's no audible click or snap from it though when tightening bolts.
Doesn't the head just flop to the side?
What jamie said, put it at a low torque, like 2Nm and turn slowly on a stem bolt or similar and watch for the head handle flopping.
The 'flop' is much easier to feel/see if you tighten the bolts slowly.
I made the same mistake...the head just flops at the torque limit. There is no click.
Yep checked all my bolts last night, all overtight! Great bit of kit, will save some expensive kit
