…Rule 1 – dont forget that you're towing a caravan. Especially when you have just undertaken someone, then decide to change lane and pull into a car sized gap.

And somewhere on another forum there's a few middle aged men banging on about cyclists jumping red lights and slowing traffic by not riding in a 2" gap on the kerb

Go to Mountain Mayhem and other races and sit in the warm and dry having fun eating proper food, drinking cold beer, having your own hot shower and sleeping soundly in a real bed – check.

(The above isn't me btw but it's the reason I want a caravan 🙂 )

    Big Caravan – Check
    Volvo XC70 – Check
    60mph on motorways – check
Having to overtake much slower drivers on motorways – check
Getting Cut up by complete dickheads who decide to overtake you without judging it, only to find you are also being held up by a tosspot with bikes on a bike rack – check (last Sunday)

Cost of 2 weeks abroad with family – £2.5k
Cost of my 5 weeks holiday in the caravan this year covering absolutely everything – £2k

I have to admit though, If I am on a country lane holding up traffic and I am not being held up then I will try to pull over.

    Caravan? – Yup.

    Mongdeo Estate? Yup.

Slow? Er, nope. Steady 60mph (ish) in 6th……..a wee bit more to overtake lorries and **** 1.0 Micras on the Motorway. Can happily keep apace with other road users on ordinary roads.

Occasionaly take demonic glee in driving @40mph on 50/60mph roads? Only when being pressed by twunts in Teutonic Tanks. 😉
