  • That thread about a bike shop in Gloucestershire…
  • I went outside to take a picture of my jersey.
When I came back in, the thread had gone.

Never mind, it brought back memories for me, so here’s a picture of a 20 year old cycling jersey anyway.
Other bike shops, clubs and jerseys are available.

and id hate to promote a local business too *cough* 96mals *cough*

brockworth, very good wheel builder too by all accounts

I only took the picture to post because I thought it would be interesting to see if any of the people I rode with back then on a fully rigid steel 26er with rim brakes were still around.

The moderation policy on this forum does leave me a bit baffled at times.
I, along with several other people, posted on the Sports Direct thread, recommending the Karrimor and Muddy Fox range of cycling kit.
    That’s still there.

Promoting a shop run by an all-round top bloke who’s put more into local riding over the years than anyone else I know? A handy rider who was responsible for all the riders in that area I knew pushing themselves a bit further? Why not…

Cheers for all the hard work and good times with the KIS track too..

*IIRC any forum member can recommend a company and product, as long as they are not affiliated to them. If help is sort/required by a forum member, a company/industry person is happily allowed to help whilst selling bigging-up their product.
All this is moot if you have adverts on here, when you can run riot and do whatever you want.

    * = all this depends on if the mods/ST owner get out of bed on the wrong side, or if they just don’t bother getting out of bed**
**= my explaination as to why they left the thread so long this morning.

I remember bigfoot. At the end of Bristol Rd wasnt it? The owner, “Mr Foot” I believe (not joking!) used to ride in the Malverns Classic before the days of “Mountain Mayhem” at the same venue. He made his own custom MTB frames that were advertised in some of the big mags but they never really took off.
