Someone has just sent me a text, but at the end of it, it displays….

    *some text is missing*

I have never seen this before, so not sure what it means, anyone ?

    Cheers

are you really asking what "some text is missing" might mean?

it probably implies that you do not have all of the text!

happens when you're sent a message that spans multiple text messages, and you only recieve one of the messages.

Is your phone full? I get that all the time and I have to delete some messages. However, I suspect you have some fancy Gig-a-byte phone thingy though if you've never seen it before.

Sometimes happens as well if they have exceeded the max number of chatacters allowed in a single text, so it's has split it, and the second part hasn't arrived.

No, thats why I have just added this message to the forum :D, I understand the meaning of the words, I just wasn't sure why it was saying it…I have never seen it before…

If it's a multi-part message for me it just stops and says (1/2) on the end. Some text missing means corruption – either bad signal or network cock-up.

Yep seen it with multipart messages on Nokias.

If someone send you a message greater than 140 characters (or whatever the limit is) th*some text missing*

en it sends it as two text messages. You have one part and you're waiting for the next.

    😉
