Tj – perhaps true for uranium but there is plenty of thorium available. Gen IV reactors will also burn any plutonium you throw at them. Fuel is plentiful provided you ask the question correctly. That’s before you even get to fusion (coming soon TM)
As for 20 years turnaround, perhaps for French N type or EPR crap but you can break ground and get an ABWR onto the grid in four years (average) or a PWR in a few more.
Oh, and Gen IV produces significantly less waste with less radiotoxic products that are shorter lived. Can also burn existing stockpiles of “spent” fuel.
