Anyone nerdy enough to know if the tax on EIS dividends can be sidestepped?

I guess the 1st question would be, can EIS go into a S&S ISA.

Most EIS investors (I have some) prefer not to take dividends because of the tax (of which i am not sure of a way it can be avoided). They would prefer cash to be left in the business until exit when it can be returned as part of the capital gain with no tax.

Yep, thanks. Your bang on the money there in general.

The thing is the one I’m looking at pays dividends only, the shares are fixed in value. Its a community project so not aiming to build value, but pay a dividend instead.

That’s all fine, except EIS dividends are taxed, which sort of pisses on the fireworks. Just wondering if there was a clever way of avoiding that.
