Does anyone know the forks currently made with a tapred steer tube 1.5 bottom to 1 1/8th top? only one I am aware of is the lyric

Fox 32 and 36 forks are available with tapered steerers.

Can't you get some kind of reducer, or a headset that does the reducing job?

the bottom is 1.5 the top 1 1/8 now I would assume that means the actual frame dimensions….. So I guess my question is, if I cannot sort out decent tapered forks can I leave the top HS as a 1 1/8 and buy a 1.5 to 1 1/8 reducer for the bottom and run it with normal 1 1/8 forks?

Sorry to sound stupid … Whats the point to tapered steerer tubes, Im sure theres a good reason i just cant grasp it !

just use a 1.5" to 1 1/8th reducer cup on the bottom.
