Just had a small argument with my wife about this. What do you think?
My opinion is that they recruit the ladies by (generally) looking for simpletons hanging around in bars and clubs.
The men are recruited by looking for sexual predators in the main. Try and find guys who go out and try and shag as many girls as they can. They need confident, attractive, morally ambivalent blokes who for the most part, love themselves.

Yep, I've seen it. The bloke is obviously quite happy parading himself in front of a load of women. And clearly very confident, he does this for fun. That's a limited source pool right there.

Maybe I'm missing something. Lets set the baseline then...
They have 20 or so women who have been procurred from somewhere.... They need girls who have plenty of spare time, want to be on telly, can pop off at a moments notice or hang around for weeks on end.
.....then they have a few blokes, all of whom have met some level of criteria for being on the show. Shy blokes are no good, retiring types are no good. These chaps have to be very forward and not afraid to put their stall on show as it were. Where would they find those sorts of blokes? If you can suggest a better place than a bog standard prowl bar or club then let me know.
9 out of 10 of the guys that appear on the show are clearly just blokes who spend their time trying (and managing to), bed as many women as possible. But now they're on a TV program where we watch them do it. If you think this is not what you're watching then I understand why my post has confused you.

Most of the times ive watched it there seems to be a balance of a few different types of guys. Theres nearly always one who gets all the lights out after the first round. Either a bit of a loser or an old creepy man.

A friend of a friend was one of the female contestants. She applied to go on the show, works long hours (her own business) however being quite intellectually bright she lacks a fair bit of common sense. The series I believe is filmed over a few days and the holiday bit is on a specified date you are told before hand.
I watched a bit of it to see her, I won't watch it again.
There was an article in a paper a week our so ago. Basically said they'd put all possible contestants in a mansion & they'd promptly had an orgy & trashed the place. So you're probably not wrong.
Oh & a couple from the first show of the series were never shown on their date the following week because they were both exposed as escorts. He's also been done for assault of a woman.

I seem to have missed this cultural highlight by watching quality tv and listening to the radio and simplying doing other stuff
it does indeed sound that someone needs to be taken out though.

Never watched it, but know someone who will be appearing in one of the shows which has still to be aired. To say he is always on the "prowl" and vain is an understatement.
getting rid of the tele was the best decision i ever made. every time you watch this kind of crap you become a little bit less of a human being.
I find the show's concept and its host equally repugnant.
Paddy probably doesn't care what people thinks as he's getting paid a lot of money I guess. It's also entertainment (?) for some - I guess those who enjoy Mr Kyle too lol.
