Apparently, suspension forks are set to be pretty big in the world of MTBing, so I thought I should try out some of these new-fangled devices.

So some second hand Marzocchi MX Comp Airs. They were quite an investment, at £35.

Apart from once rolling down the Hamsterley skills loop on my brother's Kona Stinky I've never ridden a bike with any suspension before, so it'll be interesting to see whether I really am crap and slow or if it was just my rigid forks holding me back.

(Need a new front brake cable. Spacers needed until I sort the bar height.)

Ah, finally a mobile dog poo bin. Just mounts like a pannier I see.

They are the work of the devil.

That road leads to who only knows where – you'll be wanting gears, and carbon stuff next, and before you'll know it, you'll be shaving, and sitting down to go down hills.

    😉

I've upped the pressure in the forks now (from 25psi to 35 or so) and moved the 20mm spacer from below to above the stem, to compensate for the longer forks. Feels a lot better in a bounce about up and down the lawn test.

I suspect you will still be crap and slow (perhaps slower).

Is that a 'If I put duct tape over all the On-one branding no one will know it's an Inbred' bike?

As a sponsored Ragley rider, you wouldn't catch Mike riding an inbred 😉

I didn't realise people used handlebars like that unless they worked for bakeries and had baskets on the front
