Anyone got pics of this done? Where to all the cables and hoses go?
I've got one of them Revelate Sling things but everytime I try this the gear cables are in the way and its nearly bending the hoses off my brake levers. Am I missing something?
Inbred, Monkey Bars, SLX shifters, Magura Louise, 65mm stem - if any of that makes any difference
I also use the revelate bags I run my hoses longer than normal to allow for flex when using them, I know this doesn't help you much I'm afraid
Some folk have xtra long hoses and cables so all your gear sit behind them.
On my older hopes I replaced the straight hose connectors with banjo's that came out of the lever @ 90degrees pointing backwards.
my current setup I put my harness behind the cables and hoses then strap my gear ontop of that.

What angle are your leavers at? Tried making them angled further down? Tried spacers between bars and sling?

Here's mine, with V brakes though.
Did your harness come with a set off foam spacers? These will often move the harness away from the cables enough to stop them kinking/pulling, etc.
I always put my cables behind the harness rather than in front of it ... horses for courses really.
Kiwijohn ... why the rack? looks like you could easily get away without it, judging by what's on it.
Yeah, I could have. Only borrowed the bags at the last minute, so had planned on the rack. Got the tent poles in the bag with the tent on the return trip.
Still haven't bought my own set. Yet.
I use one of the Wildcat bar harnesses, not cheap (what is!!) but has worked well for me, keeps the luggage away from the headtube and plenty of room for cables behind it.

Has anyone tried mini tri bars as a bag support?
On a recent excursion on my Trek EX I put the bag on top of the bars as when I had squashed the cables & hoses up on the bivi ride before, with the bag below the bars, my front brake started to leak at the lever and I had to replace the olive.
It was actually much quicker, more secure and easier than strapping it below the bars but the drybag did obscure my view when I had to drop my arse over the back wheel on the technical descents.
Slugwash - That's a good solution but it blocks the view of your shifter windows - downright dangerous and possibly illegal.
I'd suggest you upgrade to shifters with removable gear indicators and get them unscrewed pronto.
What straps for attaching an antelope? 
Less facetiously, mine go on my singlespeed behind the cables. But then, I have Jones bars and funny cable routing, so it's not as much of an issue.

A true bikepacking backwoodsman, like myself, would strip the antelope's sinews out with a multitool and use those

cheers all, think I am gonna have to make the gear cables longer and also move my middleburn cable oiler from where they are as they as right on the bit of cable that needs to be squished and i think they cable outer wont bend right with them there.
brakes I may be able to address by having them less angled than they are just now.
@stills8tannorm, no foam blocks, I got the sling not the harness so I don't think you get them, got a pic so I could try and replicate?
I am actually considering mary bars or titec j bars so may be able to sort all this out in the change
the coastkid setup looks interesting too, got me thinking...
What's those big seat post bags on the pics up there, and how much do they hold?
Slings don't come with foam blocks, only the harnesses.
I didn't get any with my Epic harness as they were made after I bought mine.
I made a pair of small block's by cutting some 3x 5mm closed cell foam into 1.5"x1" pieces then duct taping them together on top of each other.
They then get positioned between the strapping and the bars creating a 10mmish gap for the cables to run through.
