Its not that I object to them doing it, but its there’s a time and a place for everything. They like to do it in the early morning, around dawn, around the hill behind the house.

So as they get to a decent altitude, as the sun comes up, it casts their shadows against the curtains. As you can imagine, no matter how many times it happens, you never really get used to being awoken by the dark outline of a horse suspended from a parachute, silhouetted against your bedroom wall.

I’ve asked them nicely, but they’re bigger than me

    Any suggestions?

Are we talking geegees or seahorses? I know that John Squire was into MTB but I didn’t know he’d progressed to paragliding

Try to encourage starlings to nest in your roof spaces, their early morning singing puts horses off their paragliding.

Paint the roof of your house to resemble a Tesco’s Lasagne.

    They’ll steer well clear.

I herd that’s a foal way to be woken up.

Now that they no longer live in fear of being made into lasagne they’ve gotten ever more brazen.
