Has anyone used a SRAM Dual drive? or Shimano Nexave IF-C530 which I think is an equivalent? - 3 speed hub gear with 9 speed cassette.
I'm eying up a small wheel Tandem Circe Helios as a family taxi/school runner, - which will easily fit either my 7 year old daughter, Mrs MC, or even me on the stoker. (Yes it does, we tried a demo one).
I need a big gear range though, which just can't be got with only 2 front rings on stock bikes.(Third ring is used for transfer). - Hence looking at Dual Drive which seems to do the job.
Anybody used one? I can't find much about them, and much less regarding Tandems (Yes SRAM bumf says not suitable for tandems, - I have seen that!).
