Has anyone any suggestions for solving squeaky brake syndrome? Cleaned rotors but still very noisy, tips greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

It is often either contamination of the pads or rotors from aerosol lube use.

Try sanding the pads and using boiling water on the discs. I’ve done both and can’t seem to stop it for any length of time but mine now only squeal if I hit the brakes hard which is easier to live with.

I got this today. New pads and cleaned the rotors before so I know it wasn’t contamination. Some squeak can be eliminated with some copper slip between the piston and back of pad.

ive found that burning the pads over the hob works a treat i usualy burn them for about 30 secs then run them under the cold tap a couple of times. works for me. 😀
