Whats going on with the sizing on specialised shoes? I can normaly walk into a shop and pick up a pair of size 43s and they would fit perfectly, not now. There size 43 is normaly a 9 but its now a 8.6? Then the 44 is way to big.Anyone had this problem,better still does anyone know a solution? Ive tried other makes but they just dont fit as nice.

On a slightly different note - if you were buying a set of S-works road shoes....? Would you expect a proper fitting where they put you on a bike, check knee alingment, check wedges and footbeds?
It will be from a reasonable size specialized store but not a concept store. I know they do fittings etc there.

The s works mtb shoe is the only model in the range which they do half sizes in.Why not the lower priced shoes? Seems daft, Surly they sell more mid range shoes than top end race shoes.

It'd be daft to market them as a 'UK 8.6' so they round up to 9. They're made in European sizes, then the box contains some approximations for UK, US and length. If a 44 was too big, buy a 43, not rocket science
They only do half sizes on the S-Works as that's the point of paying more - almost a custom fit. Why don't Argos offer their £49 bikes in 15", 17", 18", 19" and 21" - bet they sell more than Trek do Remedy 9.9s...

Are they a BG Fit Centre? I'd phone ahead and ask about it, rather than expect it. The vast majority of people buying S-Works shoes don't want it anyway. I'd not think a shop was taking the piss to charge, especially for the shims which IIRC don't come with the shoes, if I did it at the point of sale I'd negotiate a straight swap to the blue or green insoles though (if they were required).

I expect they have changed manufacturers, which is a pain as I need a new pair. I've had my old FACT pair for 5 years, won't be buying the same this time round at £150!

They changed the sole design last year, so not surprised the fitting has changed. Was like Lecky, fitted perfectly into a 43, have looked at Mavic, and they seem to fit them fairly well, will probably be changing to them as my current Specialized shoes wear out.
