Myself...away to bed now!
Me!
Not daring to sleep yet, need food!!
finding it very hard to walk up stairs my have to sleep on sofa lots of strange looks and shakiing head from the mrs
me, strangely not hungry or tired (that 5 minutes when i fell asleep into my bacon buttie in the cafe must be all i need!) but i will need a winch to get me out of this chair.
I did too, slept in car on way home, got a good wife!!Great weekend, the old plums are suffering from being battered around on the hard ground, but better then being wet, just dust off the bike!
Wife just made me a huge dinner of steak pie, cabbage, peas carrots mash and roasties, really didn't want it but couldn't bring myself to say anything! Left a few peas and carrots!!
Enjoyed it so much more than mayhem!

(SITS not my tea!)
Did it solo(22 laps), great course(alot of singletrack) and the most unlike Catton conditions. Bone dry and dusty. Did it on a hardtail which has left me very sore, lots of rock hard ruts and bumps. Think its the best in the 5 years I've been doing it !
22!! Well done! 15 here, was my target after 11 last yr. Very pleased I did it.
Started off in pairs, but my mate pulled his knee so had to go solo; managed 15 on my own for a grand total of 20 laps in the category :(. It was a good course with some good singletrack sections and the weather was perfect.
Did it in a mixed team(dottys crew)11th,done it a few times and this year has been the best. Most dust I have ever seen on a course.Me and the wife are both a bit sleeepyyyy now.Great weekend
Sounds good, think I will do it next year (rain clouds gather at my mere thought).

That must be due to going to be for 5 hours last night!!
Loved it! Very happy with our result as well. Men's pair - 32 laps 5th
117 miles each.
I'm off to bed, bye!
3rd in Vet team but did not get on the podium!!(gutted) they had 1st and 2nd but not 3rd very strange but there was an almighty cock up in teams being in the right Cat but it took Derby Mercian 18 hrs of competion to tell the organisers
Well done Manchester Wheelers(2nd)
Rich
2 Englishmen and a Scot and a dodgy Irishman
Great course well done Ag and Pat
Rich your team finished 5 above mine in that category
How many laps did you do? (as a team)
I think it was 35 finished @ 14.30!
good effort - saw sascha and your littlun (not so little now
Didn't see a beardie postie tho
Beardless had to shave off my big tash or she was going to leave me
Not racing but I did get in a couple of laps, thought the course was fantastic. LOADS of singletrack, a fast dusty course and great weather.
Some bits of single track were stupid - the silly bit (like a VERY TIGHT s bend and where they left a couple of saplings in the main drag)
Only proper gripe - the braking bumps!!

Did it in a mixed team(dottys crew)11t
Manchester Mountain Bikers mixed team here...10th spot
did well considering one of our lot injured himself & couldn't ride, so there were 4 of us + a mate who knocked a few laps out just so we could have a few extra moments rest.
good course, really enjoyed bouncing off trees towards the end!
Did someone rip that **** whiplash sapling out in the end ?
Great event much more chilled than Mayhem.
Fell asleep at the bars at 3am in the first singletrack section
Good times.
Postie much faster without facial fluff
i thought the course was very good actually, some of the singletrack was infact fun!
33 laps and 3rd in pairs for me.
Good course, bit different from my usual 24's though...Scotland!

sounds alright to me, don't anyone moan about "sanitised" xc race courses!
Nowt wrong with the course IMO.
Excellent event, great weekend, amazing weather and a very good and enjoyable circuit.
The only people who moan about courses are those who are poor at riding!
Ciao
First time solo for me 16 laps all on a hard tail, no going back to the team events now!
Thanks to all the riders and spectators for their support, it was quite ovewhelming at times
Best SiTS course ever. Well done everyone.
Well that was my first 24 hour event and not done any other major events in mtb.....but....
I loved it, got a real buzz from it all. I thought the course was very good and most of the singletrack was great! Well done to the organisers, great job!
Having the right team mate makes a big difference.....I even kept my sense of humour throughout the 24 hours!!
Highlight of the weekend for me.....going to bed at 2am, then waking up and riding through the darkness turning into light, with the misty and calm atmosphere... roll on next year!
I didn't race (I am injured) but popped up to have a look. I was surprised to see the spaces in the camping field as it's usually rammed.
I was a very jealous having competed the last 4 years.

Very impressive mate! We were trying to catch you but in the end just couldn;t get another lap in! Only 4 mins of 4th and just couldn't seem to get that back either.

Course was fun, weather was perfect.

yeah it was definitely much quieter than usual. the top field had no-one in and i've had to pitch up there the past couple of years.
