Sintered for winter mud & grime.

    Kevlar if dry and dusty

<edit> organic or kevlar will have more bite </edit>

using sintered on xc bike and normal on biggun. sintered seem to last me better.

I am however tempted to try SS kevlar pads, even though I swore I’d never touch SS pads again after getting several from “that batch” I’m hearing good things about these kevlar jobbies and holding a grudge isn’t really worth it.

Sintered – because organic don’t last long (two weeks max).

Ive also had trouble with warping rotors that I put down to organics. Could be wrong about that.

My understanding is that metalics need to warm up a bit before you get the full power.

Organic bite better, sintered last longer. Kevlar supposedly the best of both but IME a decent compromise.

Where are you riding (and how often?). I found that was the case back in the early days of disc brakes but we get really good life out of Hope organic pads now.
