Just became a digital member and downloaded the app on my (2nd gen) iPad mini. I’m trying to download the 100th issue (using standard broadband wifi) and it is painfully slow. Over the w/e I’m up to 16%. Is this app worth using or would I be better off downloading the mag some other way?

I use the android one but even on a pretty slow connection (5mbps) it only takes 20 mins or so to download.

I think it’s great though – I rarely actually read the print edition that I get these days.

There’s a Singletrack magazine?

I’ve tried the pocketmags thing a few times in the past and it was so bad I don’t bother anymore. Now I just download the pdf to my computer and sync it to the iPad

The pdf isn’t a patch on the ‘proper’ online version though (again, talking android here)
