Wanting to go 1×9 and run a bash guard. Not keen on the BB mount options as I run a 32T ring and the guides then have a protruding upper part. Something like the Straightline Silent guide but cheaper! Might just try the N-Stop with a stinger.

I still prefer to have a bottom guide in addition to the top one.
I have a 32t 1×9 single ring on my Mega/Reign. I use a Blackspire DSX and it is perfect in the main. Very quiet, never ever dropped a chain and it was on special at CRC when I bought it, though at full price its still cheaper than the likes of Straitline I think.
The only gripe I had with it is after about 10 months of use, the bash guard has cracked at each of the chainring bolt holes. I didn’t do them too tight I didn’t think… Anyway, check how tight they should be, maybe some loctite, and its all great.

Not exactly what you’re after but I run an MRP Mini-G2 – no bash but has a taco/skid plate thing on the bottom. Been using it now for about 18 months and its not dropped the chain once.
