Tell me about them. I’ve got a big birthday coming up and I might treat myself.

How are they on size? do they come up small/large for the size?
How long have you had them?
Do they have mesh panels on the them?

Would you recommend them?

Normal sizing is fine for me.

I’ve had mine around 10 years and use them for commuting mainly, probably do around 3000 miles a year in them. Only issue is the stickiness has worn off the velcro on the straps but a loops of road inner tube keeps them down.

Yes I would definately recommned them.

They are expensive for what you get, the footbeds are very thin and uncomfy and they are seriously cold in winter. They have however outlasted any other shoe i have owned including shimano’s and specialized race shoes. They are still going today after 5 years.
If you bought some better footbeds (factor in the cost) then they are great.

BTW they are narrow by default so if you have wide feed get the mega wide fit.

I had some Dragons, which were very comfy off the bike, but pretty crap on frankly – flexy, I got hot spots, cramp in my toes etc. Since had 3 pairs of S-Works shoes and they absolutely piss all over the Sidis, far far far more comfortable.

I already have footbeds so that’s not an issue.

All I need to do now is find somewhere that does a good deal.

Each to their own, I love my SIdi’s and cant get on with Spesh shoes. Very tough wearing, comfy for all day rides. As mentioned, not too warm but sealskin sox or overshoes cure this.

Dont buy the studs, fitting them damaged the front of the shoe.

Not too good for walking in but otherwise, ace.

Would get some again.

Fit wise I think they size up the same as most bike shoes, ie go a size up from everyday shoes, they are a bit pointy.

The uppers are really nice and fit to the foot well, unlike specialized or shimano which expect your foot to fit the shoe.

The soles are slipperier than a bag of eels and vaseline, I just don’t know what the hell sidi were thinking of and why they haven’t changed the material since they came out, even just carrying my bike out the front door I won’t put the shoes on till I am about to get on the bike.

You know they are a cycling shoe not a hiking boot.

I love them, having worn specialised and shimano shoes in the past. The Sidi’s are certainly the best I’ve had. The do come up small, and narrow. My advice would be to find a stockist, try them on to find your correct size and then look around for deals. I got mine a few years ago through CRC much cheaper than anywhere else.

I wear them for my 24mile commute, weekend rides on and off road, and some CX in the winter. They still come up like new after a good scrub.

The footbeds are thin, but I wore mine last year on a London – Paris road ride doing in excess of 85miles a day and didn’t find them excessively painful to wear.

On the slipperiness factor, I don’t find them too bad at all. Maybe the mud up here is more grippy.
