This is going to be my next purchase and I can't wait to get out on the trails with it.
Hope it doesn't end in devorce.

brave man indeed.
Going over to the dark side!
I take it, the SJS test ride was a success
I've got an uncle john frane downstairs, and a load of bits arriving next week
No pictures but having my Dialled PA resprayed for 2009, and a couple of new components should be ready mid Jan.
Dibbs.
No mate we only went to SJS to get some brake levers for my Gryphon.
Amanda's still not been on a tandem yet.
And I've only been on one up and down the road.......
Looks like we have a lot of learning to do then.
Rode one of these at the Rutland Water Demo Day earlier this year

Thought it was a fantastic bike, so if things are not that tight next year…
ssstu, been down that route
rode with my daughter and wife.
not very successfull.
ton.
sssssshhh.
Amanda might hear you.
managed llandegla and dalby red routes with the daughter.
i do not think she pedaled much.
1 good point is you can climb the steepest of inclines at the very slowest of speeds.
i found this very usefull.
For the alps and wales:

For the New Forest
Ever since reading the ST review then reading other stuff out there, I'm keen to give this a try...

For many not an obvious choice but being more a 4inch travel or hardtail rider, it would be quite a change!
I decided I needed a little more travel as my FS.
Gears are now on it BTW. Test ride is tomorrow.
Long grass is protecting the root structure from the frost nicely, thanks.
possibly give up the Ti HT's for a lightweight build of this :
hmmmm, good question.
i just stripped down my intense 5.5 and popped the parts onto a yeti arc frame, so now i'm scouring the sales to find the bits to build back up the intense (if anyone sees a craking deal on some hope hoops 5.1/am4 and pike air 454 please let me know).
for a totally new bike i'm in a quandry; i really enjoy doing some road miles on my cross bikes and always wonder what a pure road bike would be like, an s works roubaix appeals, but i can't justify the cost at 1.5k or so just for a frame. so i'm tempted to build up a yeti arc-x with more road orientated gearing than my s works tricross.
then again during the stw downtime last week my interests wandered and after seeing the silly money you can pick these up for these days i'm so tempted...
I know what you mean. I'm keen to spend my bike money on an urban tiger fireblade and I get to keep the sv1000!
just got one of these for £750
Still not decided yet, but it could well be this!

Also considering the 08 Meta 5.5.2 and 08 Kona Dawg Delux. Not yet got any budget for a new bike so it could just mean putting some Maxxis on my Caldera next year.
Finally arrived
not telling...............cos i might just change my mind.
My next steed....

Now half complete with forks, cranks and gears etc.......
I have changed my mind since seeing this 'dale at the top of this thread on MTBR. Just off to harvest a batch of fresh organs to pay for it.
singlespeedstu - is that pic out the front of JD's?
When I finish building it in the next few days, one of these (TLR take note - shall be riding it while I wait for the Nicolai to come back from Germany)
Something like this where I can use it for work.

or On-One Ti456 ... if I spare cash after the credit crunch.
Just waiting on my LBS to get one of these in for a demo

Then I need to start clearing out some old bikes to pay for it, oh, and the cycle to work scheme.

I'm saving up for one of these
Probably splash out on tsome new forks too
And maybe an XTR groupset

$1600 From Chainlove.com Should arrive on thursday... now I wish it would stop damn snowing!!

probably that .....unless someone can come up with a 29er i can get a similar weight on and a similarly snappy ride ... and no i cant get a scandal as my shop doesnt deal with
