What about shadow rear mechs vs old style?

I’m loath to go back to old style as I like not having the loop of cable to snag and fray back there, but if they are better I can live with that.

Saint rear mech has a stronger return spring which sounds good, but I’ve I’ve heard bad things about top pivots coming loose in matter of weeks.

ARGH!

I’d say SRAM stuff works better espeically with muddy cables but shimano is better built, longer lasting and stronger.

Can’t comment on sram paddles as I use gripshift.
