Do digital slr cameras ever need servicing? And what would they do? Thought they may need cleaning, recalibrating, check settings etc… Oh and how often? Cheers folks

I guess the same as film SLRs there are still moving parts such as the shutter, mirror, possibly focussing motors and gears depending on model etc.

They need sensor cleaning from time to time, but theres no real servicable parts until they keel over, then you're likely to need a new shutter arrangement which'll cost you around £200 to have replaced.
