I want to search USA web sites for Xmas present for Mrs Dactyl as I travel there shortly, but every time I try with google it keeps giving out UK sites with £ prices.

Anyone help me to search for $ prices?

    Use http://www.google.com, not .uk.

Weird, Trimix, I followed your link and got the Dutch Google.
Typed over .com and it pinged back to .nl?
I think its my corporate firewall or something?

Bottom right hand side of any "google.local" is "go to google.com", or the direct link:
    http://www.google.com/ncr

Thanks Grumm, your link finds all $ prices. Its great

CKing, the google.com seems to find .coms with a mix of $ and £ prices. Is it that not all .com sites are not domiciled in the US?

My conspiracy theory is that "they" dont want us to see $ prices for some merchandise?

Not really a conspriacy, they are attempting to 'localise' results for you so you can buy it from your country rather than just seeing US results, makes sense really to assume that if you are shopping in the UK you wish to pay in pounds etc.
