On May 20th, I will be at Castle Lachlan on the east side of Loch Fyne on the B8000, about 6 miles south of Strachur for a wedding. However, the wedding is not until the 21st so I’ll have a whole day to please myself whilst my partner does all the wedding stuff with her sister (the bride).

What I was after was some advice as to decent places for a ride. Im aware the Argyll Forest park is pretty close and that theres probably various bridleways etc from the castle door but if there was any “local Knowledge” about, that would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Will no doubt be more along soon…. But look up Loch Eck MTB routes, also Ardgarten Circuit, Corrie Grogain (from Arrochar), Lochgilphead Fire Trails. Also if you like the roads there are pretty quiet and run along Loch Fyne, so a trip down to Otter Ferry and over to Tighnabruich is very relaxing.
