    Hi,
Whilst perving; ahem appreciating bike frames; i noticed the on one 26 scandal is about to come in a raw finish. looks very good.

however any thoughts experience on it; i know there is a 29 er.

how will it fare in mud etc; will it yellow, stain or need a top coat to shrug off muck?

    do anodized/grainy suffer any issues?

i dont mind mud, rubbish, grey alu, brake muck, oil etc; i do have a purple bike for starters and a hammerite single speed

also; scandal frame and surly instigator forks? heaven or hell?

    cheers

The Super Raw (or whatever it’s called) is actually anodised so no staining or oxidising. It looks good IMO.

I’ve one of the Super Raw Scandal 29ers and think it looks really good, it hasn’t “weathered” at all, in fact, you tend to notice little rub marks or scratches less as they are same colour and frame has the brushed finish.

    sounds good, many thanks.
would your recommend a clear top coat?

it will be a black and raw build,no colour to speak of.

i really want to get my old manitou billet stem on it; all 120 mm of it.
