Top tip number 1: Check the crown of the fork to see what kind of crown race it requires, I am lead to believe that not all headsets come with them. I'm sure there was a discussion about such things somewhere, can't remember who started it though
We happily fitted tubus racks to project II forks for a 7 month tour. We needed their mid fork blade fitting kit as they don't have mid mounts, but other than that, were great.
