I would'nt know cos I'm from North Yorkshire but an old friend of mine lives down there & she's wanting to get out with her son. She mentioned Bewly Water but what else is there?
    Anyone?

If you're coming down this way then you really ought to drive over to Surrey and ride the Leith Hill/Holmburry Hill/Pitch Hill area. The riding is very good if you know where to go – I assume that your friend will?
Having lived and ridden in the Peak District until I was in my 20s and having done all the major Welsh trail centres, I still think that the riding in the Surrey Hills can be every bit as enjoyable as the best that Wales and the Peak have to offer. Infact, it offers loamy, woody singletrack, which those areas are short of.

Bewl is closed at this time of year. If you want something local, then you could try Bedgebury. Although it's not very challenging, it's good for a blast. Actually it will be a bog at this time of year, so might be wise to give it a miss.

Head over to the Surrey Hills like Geetee suggests for decent riding 🙂
