My Iron Horse Mk111 2009 frame is developing a fair bit of play from the pivot points and I bought a replacement set of bearings in anticipation of this happening. Thing is - is it possibel it is bushings not bearings? If so does anyone know where i migth be able to get them? the Iron Horse website is now no longer accessible so im a bit stumped as to where to find diagrams of the pivot bearings / bushings arrangemnt for doing this job myself. Dont want to disassemble the whole thing without having replacement parts handy. Any advice appreciated.

I can't speak with much intelligence on Iron Horse frames as I've no experience of them, however in general shock bushes tend to wear more quickly than frame bearings, so I would check these as well.
BETD will be able to supply the bushes you need if you tell them what your frame and shock is

Shock bushes are very easy with the correct tool. Bearings are simple but can require a vice and a big hammer.
BETD is a great place to start.

the top shock bushing on IH DW frames is the one that wears out fastest, hold the top shock mount and lift the seat to feel for bushing play.

As above, don't leave it too long as often there's an aluminium axel/spacer/bushing inside the bearing, excessive play can destroy these and they often cost as much/more than the bearing (especialy as IH is now bust I imagine theyd be a nightmare to get hold of).
As for fitting the bearings, give yourself 2 hours (30min if you work quickly, but dont rush it), a hammer and assorted sockets/drifts and work methodicaly, 1 bearing at a time, that way you always have the other side as a referance to where that little washer came from.

Pearce cycles have all the shock mount/bearing parts needed for Sundays, so I'd try them if you need anything

thanks folks - will get in touch with Pearce Cycles regarding the Mk111 frame bushings etc.
Its definately not the shock mount bushings as I've replaced both top and bottom in previous few months as noticed a bit of play happening vertically when lifting the seat as described above. First the top one went, was replaced then the bottom one did same. This cured the problem but it is a bnit of lateral play develping now so its gotta be the frame bearings / bushings. Will give it a go soon.
