Im maybe looking at joining a group for cycling on the quantocks, i ride up there already but always with somebody else once a week, im looking for a group thats going to chalenge me a bit more ! Cheers

little bit more of everything really, i do like cross country, i tend to start at greatwood and climb to dead womans ditch, along the road to crowcombe park gate and then over to weacombe, from there up quite a steep hill near west quantocks head and up to the top of smiths combe, down smiths and then then along a path that leads to near holford village, from here back to crowcombe park gate alongs wills neck to triscombe and down the "motorway" back to greatwood,
takes about 3 hours, i think i can probabl do it nearer 2.5 on my own thou,
id also be looking at maybe a little more distance

Do you mean along the drove to Triscombe?
That route is about a 26k ride, so about an average distance on the tox, therefore plenty of riders on here able to do that and more at your pace.
With any group ride you can expect it to take longer.
18 mths ago i would of happily invited you on one of my all days epics, but these days riding isn't quite happening for me.
But give the heads up on here when you plan to ride and i'm sure by the summer you'll have some new riding buddies pushing your pace forwards, as well as showing you the other 80% of the Quantocks.
