ask locally, different councils have different routes and outcomes for their recycling. Some recyclers don’t accept shredded paper specifically because the shredded bits of window are too difficult to filter out, but they can handle and separate the windows in unshredded paper fine. So ask or look up your councils website. Or just remember to tear them out.
