I work in IT and over the years I have managed to collect all sorts of bits and pieces, routers, modems, switches etc

I am now having a good clear out, some stuff will go on sale and the other older stuff will need to be recycled…

Does anyone know of a recycling IT firm, or perhaps my local council will do it ?

Anyone have any suggestions. I am based in Worcestershire and I dont want the stuff to go to landfil.

    Cheers

If it’s old stuff and has no real value then you may be forced to pay to dispose of it… we usually get a company to take our stuff away for free but have to balance the old stuff out with newer stuff that they actually want… WEEE regulations…

One of our customers dealt in computer reclamation. Taking out all the lead/copper/gold..

I’ll see if I can find a name for you.

I’ve used this company for some IT recycling in the past – seem pretty good (as in nothing has come back to use after being found dumped by the side of the road):

They make a fortune by taking the gold out of the old chips!
