I need to get a couple of down jackets cleaned. Any recommendations for good places to go to?

Franklins in Sheffield is the place that Rab recommends.
They've always done a great job for me.

+1. Sent my sleeping bag off to them and it's like new.
Could give it a go yourself if you’ve got time and patience. Sadly I was lacking both.Posted 6 months ago # -
I need to wash mine. The label says it can be machine washed but I don't want it to loose its lovely pillowy springiness.

i threw caution to the wind and chucked mine in the washing machine.
so far so good, but it was a 50quid alpkit sale number that has been through the wars so wrecking it wouldnt have been terrible. (it def needed a wash)

Washed my Rab a few times...... When you tumble dry it you need to put a few tennis ball in with it to keep it pillowy! Makes one hell of a noise but you don't lose the bounce!!

I've used the Nikwax down wash in the past and tumbled dried. Worked well and the jacket still has lots of puff.

+1 for Nikwax down wash and tumble dry with tennis balls. Actually restored some of the fluffiness it had lost through use (Rab jacket)

Another +1 for Nikwax downwash and the tennis ball tumble dry. The tumble dry perks them right back up if they get soaked in the rain too.
